(1) The accounts of the Authority shall be maintained Accounts in such manner and in such form as may be provided by regu- and audit. lations. (2) The accounts of the Authority shall be audited from time to time and at least once a year by such auditor as the State Government may appoint in this behalf, and the Authority shall pay to the auditor such remuneration as the State Govern- ment may direct. (3) The Authority shall afford to the auditor, his clerks and assistants, access to all such books and documents as are necessary for the purposes of the audit, and shall, when required, furnish to them all vouchers and information requisite for that- purpose, and also afford to them all facilities for the proper execution of their duty. (4) The said auditor shall— (a) report to the Board any material impropriety or irregularity which he may observe in the expendi- ture, or in the recovery of moneys due to the Authority, or in the accounts, and report the same to the State Government, (b) furnish to the. Board such information as they may from time to time require concerning the progress of his audit, and (c) within fourteen days after the completion of his audit, forward his report upon the accounts to the General Manager and such report shall form part of the annual financial statement prepared under section
