The State Government may remove from office the Chairman, the Vice-Chairman or any other member of the Corporation, who— (a) without excuse, sufficient in the opinion of the State Government, is absent from more than four consecutive meetings of the Corporation, or (b) has, in the opinion of the State Government, so abused his position as a member as to render his continuance on the Corporation detrimental to the interests of the Corporation.
