(1) Without the written permission of the Chief Executive Private Officer granted in accordance with such regulations as may be made by nee et bete the Corporation in this behalf,— constructed over (a) no private street shall be constructed over any municipal municipal drain, or drain without (b) no wall or other structure shall be newly erected over any permission. municipal drain, or (c) no wall, fence or structure shall be erected on the bed, bank or embankment or any municipal sewage or storm-water channel, nor any portion thereof shall be interfered with, encroached upon, altered or occupied for fishery, agriculture or any other purpose. (2) If any private street is constructed, or any wall or other structure is erected over any municipal drain, or if any wall, fence or structure is erected on the bed or embankment of any municipal sewage or storm water channel or if any portion thereof is interfered with, encroached upon, altered or occupied without the written permission of the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Executive Officer may remove or otherwise deal with the same in such manner as he may think fit and the expenses incurred by the Corporation in so doing shall be paid by the owner of such private street, wall or other structure or by the person who interferes with or encroaches upon or alters or occupies, as the case may be.
