(1) With effect from the date as may be notified by the State Government, the Council shall cause to be prepared and maintained a register of Allied and Para-Medical Professionals in accordance with the provisions of this Act and in such manner as may be prescribed by the regulations: Provided that a set of separate registers, one for each of the Allied Medical or Para-Medical discipline, each having a distinct identity of its own, may be prepared and maintained. (2) The register shall be in such form, containing such particulars, which include, but not limited to, the full name, address, date of birth and the qualifications of the registered Allied-Medical or Para-Medical Professionals, the date on which each qualification was obtained, and such other particulars as may be prescribed by regulations mentioned under sub-section (1). (3) For the purpose of preparation of the first register and its subsequent maintenance, the Council shall, by notification in the Official Gazette, constitute a Registration and Disciplinary Sub-Committee as per provision of section 25. (4) The first register so prepared by the Council shall be published in such manner as the State Government may direct, and any person aggrieved by a decision of the Council expressed or implied in the register so published, may, within sixty days from the date of such publication, appeal to the Appellate authority mentioned under section 62. (5) The Registrar shall amend the register in accordance with the decisions of that Appellate authority in such manner as mentioned under section 53and section 55. (6) All Register shall be deemed to be a public document, within the meaning of the Indian Evidence Act, 1872. 1 of 1872. Eligibility criteria for registration.
