- S. 3Section 3 overrides conflicting laws but excludes land evacuated under the West Bengal Evacuated Property Act, 1951.
- S. 4Section 4 allows transferors to restore alienated land by repaying the sale consideration and interest if they applied before February 14, 1955, and proved financial hardship.
- S. 5Section 5 restores land to the original owner, vesting title free of later encumbrances and allowing the Collector to evict the current possessor if needed.
- S. 6Any sum payablc under an ordcr made under seclion 4 shall be recovcrablc as a public dcmand
- S. 7Section 7 restricts jurisdiction of High and Civil Courts in matters under this Act, except for revisions by District Judge.
- S. 8Section 8 grants the Collector powers equivalent to a Civil Court for evidence collection.
