If any person, whose name is not entered in the Register, falsely pretends that it is so entered or uses, in connection with his name, any words or letters representing that his name is so entered, he shall, whether any preson is actually deceived by such representation or not, be punishable, on conviction by a Metropolitan Magistrate or a Magistrate of the First Class having juridiction, with imprisonment which may extend to six months or with fine which may extend to five hundred rupees.
