(1) The members of the Council shall, at the first meeting after every periodical reconstitution of the Council, elect a Vice-President from among themselves in such manner as may be prescribed. (2) The Vice-President shall hold office for the period mentioned in section 10: Provided that a Vice-President shall cease to hold office if he ceases to be a member of the Council. (3) If the Vice-President dies or resigns his office or ceases to hold office, the members of the Council shall elect from among themselves another Vice-President in such manner as may be prescribed, and such Vice-President shall hold office for the unexpired portion of the term of office of the former Vice-President whose office he fills. 104 The West Bengal Acupuncture System of Therapy Act, 1996.
