Every police officer shall give immediate information to the [Municipality]1 of an offence coming to his knowledge which has been committed against this Act or against an Act referred to in clause (b) of sub- section (1) of Section 114, or against any rule made under any of the said Acts and shall be bound to assist all members officers and servants of the [Municipality]1 in the exercise of their lawful authority.
