Whoever obstructs or molests a person employed by or under contract with the [Municipality]2 under this Act in the performance of his duty or in the fulfillment of his contract or removes a mark set up for the purpose of indicating any levels or direction necessary to the execution of works authorized by this Act, shall be liable on conviction to a fine which may extend to [one thousand rupees or to imprisonment for a period which may extend to six months or to both.]1 1- Subs. by U.P.
