(1) The Registrar shall be appointed by the Chancellor in such manner and on such term and conditions as may be prescribed by the Statutes. (2) The Registrar shall enter into and sign all contracts on behalf of the University. (3) The Registrar shall have the power to authenticate records on behalf of the University and shall exercise such other power and perform such other duties as may be prescribed or may be required by the Chancellor or the Vice-Chancellor from time to time. (4) The Registrar shall be responsible for the due custody of the records and the common seal of University and shall be bound to place before the Chancellor, the Vice-Chancellor or any other authority, all such information and document as may be necessary for transaction of their business.
