In this part the word "work" shall be deemed to include all lands occupied by [the Government]1 for the purpose of a minor irrigation work in respect of which an approved scheme has been published and all buildings, machinery, fences, gates and other erections, trees, crops, plantations or other produce, occupied by or belonging to [the Government] upon such lands.
