Subs. by the A. O. 1950 for (Provincial Govt.) which had been subs. by A.O. 1937 for (L. G.) 131 [The United Provinces Medical Act, 1917] [Section 19-20] (2) Provided that the Registrar shall refer to the Council any application for entry in the register from a person in respect of whom he considers that the Council may wish to proceed under section 26 (1). (3) Provided also that the Registrar, if so directed by the Council, shall refuse to register the name of any person who holds a medical degree, diploma, or certificate granted in any foreign country or British colony which does not recognize the medical degrees, diplomas or certificates of the Universities or [State Government]1 of [India]2.
