(1) After the agreement mentioned in section 6 has been made and the builder has deposited such amount as the [State Government]1 may direct, the [State Government]1 or the appointed authority may acquire the land by publishing in the official Gazette a notice to the effect that it has decided to acquire such land, and may make such further order including an order for the taking of possession as appear to it to be necessary or expedient in connexion with the acquisition.
