Where immediately before the commencement of Chapter I of this Act there is in force in the Pargana any law relating to land tenure, so much of such law as is inconsistent with the provisions of this Act, shall, with effect from the date and to the extent to which this Act comes into force under and in accordance with the provisions of sub-section (3) of section 1, stand repealed and the provisions of sections 6 and 24 of the U. P. General Clauses Act, 1904, shall apply to the law so repealed as if it had been an enactment repealed by an U. P. Act. Power to make rules
