Subs. by section 2 of Uttarakhand Act No. 03 of 2011. (k) “Statutes” and “Rules” means respectively, the Statutes and Rules of the University; [(l) “Study Centre” means a centre within the State, established, maintained or recognized by the University for the purpose of advising, counseling or for rendering such other assistance required by the students;]1 (m) “TALEEM Research Foundation” means the sponsoring body of the University which is a registered Charitable Trust and Literary Society at Ahmadabad, Gujarat; (n) “Teacher” means a professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor/Lecturer or such other person as may be appointed for imparting instruction or conduction research in the University or in a constituent college and institution and includes the principal of a constituent college, in conformity with the norms prescribed by the U.G.C. (o) U.G.C. means the University Grants Commission established under the University Grants Commission Act, 1956; [(p) “University” means the [Himgiri Zee University]2 established under this Act, which shall function within the State of Uttarakhand and shall comply with the orders and guidelines of the University Grants Commission;]1 (q) “Zed Career Academy Centre” means a centre established, maintained or recognized by the University for the purpose of receiving telecast, e-mail, internet, interactive talk back, conducting training, organize lectures, seminars and workshops, advising, counseling or rendering any other assistance required by the students.
