(i) This Act may be called the United Provinces Indian Medicine Act, 1939. (ii) It extend 1 to the whole of 2 [Uttar Pradesh] except the JaunsarBawar Pargana of the Dehra Dun District and the portion of the Mirzapur District, south of the Kaimur Range. (iii) Parts I and II of this Act shall come into force on such date as the 3 [State Government] may, by notification in the official Gazette, appoint. Part III shall come into force on such 4 [date] after the expiry of one year from the date on which Parts I and II come into force, as the 3 [State Government] may notify under section 49.
