Section 32

Reservation of certain appointments to registered practitioners

Except with the general or special sanction of the or of any officer authorized by it in this behalf, no person other than a registered practitioner shall be competent to hold an appointment as medical officer of health, or as physician, surgeon, or other medical officer in a hospital asylum, infirmary, dispensary, or lying in hospital, not being an institution avowedly maintained for the purpose of medical treatment according to the homoeopathic Ayurvedic or Unani system, which is supported partially or entirely by public or local funds.
