1. (1) This Act may be called the "the United Provinces Industrial Disputes Act, 1947." (2) It extends 2 to the whole of [Uttar Pradesh] 3 . (3) It shall come into force on such date 1 as the [State Government] 2 may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint in this behalf.
