The State Government may for purpose of this Act appoint- (a) a Sugar Commissioner; and (b) a Cane Commissioner; who shall perform the duties and exercise all powers conferred or imposed upon them by or under this Act: Provided that nothing in this section shall prevent the State Government from appointing the same person to be Sugar Commissioner and the Cane Commissioner.
