24. (1) The Academic Council of the University shall consist of, (i) the Vice-Chancellor, who shall be the Chairperson of the Academic Council; (ii) two academicians or professionals, to be nominated by the Board; (iii) two academicians or professionals in the field of forensic science, to be nominated by the Board; (iv) the Director of Research and Development; (v) the Directors of the University; (vi) one professor from each discipline of the University, by rotation, to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor. (2) The Registrar shall be the Secretary of the Academic Council. (3) The term of office of the members nominated under clauses (ii), (iii) and (vi) of sub-section (1) shall be of three years.
