20.(1) The Board of Governors of the University shall consist of the following members, namely :- (i) the Vice-Chancellor, who shall be the Chairperson of the Board; (ii) an officer of the Government of Uttar Pradesh in Home Department, not below the rank of a Special Secretary, to be nominated by the Additional Chief Secretary/Principal Secretary; (iii) an officer of the Government of Uttar Pradesh in Finance Department, not below the rank of a Special Secretary, to be nominated by the Additional Chief Secretary/Principal Secretary; (iv) an officer of the Government of Uttar Pradesh in Higher Education Department, not below the rank of a Special Secretary, to be nominated by the Additional Chief Secretary/Principal Secretary; (v) the Director of Research and Development; (vi) one Director of the University, by rotation, to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor; (vii) one Police Officer, not below the rank of Additional Director General of Police, to be nominated by the State Government; (viii) Three academicians or professionals in the field of forensic science, to be nominated by the State Government. (2) The Registrar shall be the Secretary of the Board.
