81. If a person sits or votes as a 1 [ Mayor ] , 2 [* * *] or member of a 3 [ Corporation ] at a meeting of the 1 [ Corporation ] or any Committee thereof before he has complied with the requirements of sub-section (1) of section 85 or when he knows that he is not qualified or that he is disqualified for being a 2 [ Mayor ] , 3 [* * *] , 4 [***] or 2 [ Corporator] as the case may be, he shall be liable in respect of each day on which he so sits or votes to a penalty of fifty rupees to be recovered as a debt due to the State.
