Section 37

Disqualifications for electors

37. (1) A person shall be disqualified for registration in electoral roll if he is disqualified for registration in the Assembly Rolls or is disqualified for voting under the provisions of this Act. (2) The name of any person who becomes so disqualified after registration shall forthwith be struck off the electoral roll of the ward in which it is included : Provided that the name of any person struck off the electoral roll of a ward by reason of disqualification under sub-section (1) shall forthwith be reinstated in that roll if such disqualification is, during the period such roll is in force, removed under the provisions of this Act or under any other law authorizing such removal.
