4. 2 (1) The Commission shall consist of the following members appointed by the State Government: (a) a Chairman; (b) two Vice-Chairman (c) seventeen other members. 1 (2) The Member shall be appointed from amongst persons of ability, integrity and standing who have had a record of selfless service to the cause of justice for the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. (3) The appointments under sub-section (1) shall be made by a notified order.
