(1) The Housing Commissioner may by notice require the owner of a building referred to in Section 73 to stop further work on such building and to alter or demolish the same in such manner and within such time as may be specified in the notice. (2) Where the notice under sub-section (1) is not complied with, the Housing Commissioner may cause the building or any portion thereof to be altered or demolished, as the case may be, and he may recover the expense incurred in so doing from the owner in such manner as may be prescribed.
