Short title, extent and commencement. (1) This Act may be called the Tripura Weights and Measures (Enforcement) Act, 1967. (2) It extends to the whole of the Union territory of Tripura. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the Administrator may, by notification in the Tripura Gazette, appoint ; and different dates may be appointed for different provisions of this Act or for different areas or for different classes of undertakings or for different classes of goods.
