Penalty for subsequent offence Whoever, having been convicted of an offence punishable under section 16 of this Act, if again found to be guilty of any such offence, shall on conviction, be subjected for every such subsequent offence, to the double of the punishment to which he would have been liable for the first commission of the offence.
