Criminal Investigation Department: The Criminal Investigation Department of the State shall take up investigation of such crimes of inter-state, inter-district or of otherwise serious nature ,as may be notified by the State Government from time to time , and as may be specially entrusted to it by the Director General of police in accordance with the prescribed procedures and norms.
