(1) Every Panchayat Samiti shall consist of------- (a) directly elected members from territorial constituencies as determined under section 71 of this Act ; (b) The members of the Legislative Assembly of the State representing constituencies which comprise wholly or partly the Panchayat Samiti, ex-officio; and [Note: For the purpose of this Section member of Legislative Assembly shall not include any Minister, Speaker, or Deputy speaker.]1 (c) The Pradhans of Gram Panchayats within the Block, ex-officio. 1 Inserted by The Tripura Panchayat (Third Amendment) Act,2003 Composition of Panchayat Samiti 55 [(d)The members of the Zilla Parishad from the constituencies within the Panchayat Samiti area, ex-officio] .1 (2) The Gram Pradhans or other members of the Panchayat Samiti whether or not chosen by direct election from territorial constituencies in the Panchayat Samiti, shall have the right to vote in the meetings of the Panchayat Samiti except for election and removal of the Chairman and the Vice-Chairman of the Panchayat Samiti.
