In the event of removal of a Pradhan or an Upa-Pradhan under Section-23 or when a vacancy occurs in the office of a Pradhan or an Upa-Pradhan by resignation, death or otherwise, the existing members of the Gram Panchayat shall elect, from amongst them, another Pradhan, or as the case may be , an Upa-Pradhan in the prescribed manner.
