(1) The Tripura Panchayats Act, 1983, and the Tripura Block Panchayat Samities Act,1978 are hereby repealed. (2) Notwithstanding such repeal of the said Acts anything done, any action taken, order issued, notification published, proceeding started, appeal preferred, legal effect produced, by or under the provisions of the said Acts, shall be deemed to have been respectively done, taken, issued, published, started, preferred or produced by or under the corresponding provisions of this Act. 1 Substituted by The Tripura Panchayat (Second Amendment) Act, 1998 Rules and order to be laid before the House of the State Legislature.
