(1) The Sabhadhipati or Sahakari Sabhadhipati or a member of Zilla Parishad may resign his office by notice in writing expressing his intention to do so to the prescribed authority and, on such resignation being accepted, the Sabhadhipati, the Sahakari Sabhadhipati or the member, as the case may be, shall be deemed to have vacated his office. (2) When a resignation is accepted under sub-section (1), the prescribed authority shall communicate it to the members of the Zilla Parishad within thirty days of such acceptance.
