( 1 ) The Mayor of a Municipal Corporation shall be the executive head of the Municipality and the Municipal administration of the Larger Urban Municipal area shall be under his control. ( 2 ) The Mayor shall exercise such powers and discharge such functions as are conferred on him by or under this Act. (3) The Mayor shall, for convenient transaction of the business of the Corporation allocate among the members of the Mayor-in-Council such business and in such manner as he thinks fit. (4) The Mayor shall preside over meetings of the Mayor-in- Council and corporation and the matters to be discussed in Mayor-in- Council shall be prepared under the direction of the Mayor and shall be circulated to the members of the Mayor-in-Council in such manner as the Mayor may determine.
