(i) There shall be established a University by the name of "Maharaja Bir Bikram University"; (ii) The headquarters of the University shall be at Agartala and it may also establish campus/Study Centre/Off Campus Study Ccntl'e at such other places within the territorial jurisdiction of the State as it may deem fit; (iii) (a) The first Chancellor and the first Vice-Chancellor of the University and the first members of the Senate and the Syndicate, and al1 persons who may hereafter become the Chancellor or the Vice-Chancellor of the University or the members of the Senate or the Syndicate, so long as they continue to hold such office or membership, shall constitute a body corporate by the name of the Maharaja Bir Bikram University; (b) The University shall have perpetual succession and a common seal and shall sue and be sued by the name of the Maharaja Bir Bikram University.
