The competent authority shall, after the return furnished under rule 190 of in formation collected under rule 191 has been verified, cause a notice to be given to the persons concerned who may be in possession of the land or part of the land and may call for such additional information, evidence or proof from them s it considers necessary. Preparation of list After considering such facts, circumstances and documents which the persons concerned might bring to his notice, the competent authority may with or without any further inquiry, determine the excess land as well as the land to be retained by such person and thus prepare the list under sub-section 167 in form
