Section 188

(1) Application for ad-interim compensation shall be made and presented to the compensation officer

(1) Application for ad-interim compensation shall be made and presented to the compensation officer. The application shall contain all particulars of the estates and interests of the intermediary situated in the area where vesting has taken place. Where the applicant holds estate or estates or which are situated within the jurisdictions of more than one compensation officer, such application shall be filed before the compensation Officer of the area where the vesting has taken place earlier or where the largest estate lies. Every such application shall be in Form 59. Application for an – interim compensation Where there is a dispute about the right, title or interest of the applicant, the compensation officer shall withhold payment until such time as the dispute is decided by a competent court. (2) No court fee shall be charged upon application for ad-interim payment. (3) The payment of annual ad-interim compensation shall be made according to the year and the amount payable on such account for each year shall be paid within three months after the close of the year. Manner of keeping in deposit disputed ad- interim compensation money (4) The Collector shall maintain a register of all ad-interim payments.
