(1) No society shall, without sufficient cause, refuse admission to membership to any person duly qualified therefore under the provisions of this Act and its bye- laws. “If no decision is communicated by the Society to any such person within one month from the date of receipt of his application for membership by the Secretary of the Society or any other person authorised, it will be presumed that the application for membership has been granted by the Secretary and he has been admitted as a member of the Society. Note: - Every person after submitting application for membership shall obtain a receipt from the Secretary of the society concerned and the period of one month shall be computed from the date of receipt of such application by the Secretary of the Society.”1* (2) Any person aggrieved by the decision of a society, refusing his admission to its membership, may appeal to the State Government.
