Proceedings under Chapter VIII of the Criminal Procedure code not competent against child.— Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in this Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Act 2 of 1974), no proceedings shall be instituted and no order shall be passed against a child under Chapter VIII of the said Code.
