The Pro-Chancellor: (i) A person of eminence will be appointed by the Chancellor, with approval of the Trust, as Pro-Chancellor for a period of five years, subject to re-appointment by the Chancellor; (ii) In the absence of the Chancellor, the Pro-Chancellor, if present, shall preside at a meeting of the Court; (iii) The Pro-Chancellor shall, by virtue of his office, be from academic and research background.
