Repeal and savings.—(1) On and from the date of commencement of this Act, the Tripura Agricultural Debtors Relief Act, 1975 (I of 1976) (hereinafter referred to as that Act) or so much thereof as relates to matter covered by the provisions of this Act, shall stand repealed. (2) The repeal of the Tripura Agricultural Debtors Relief Act, 1975 (I of 1976), by sub-section (1), shall not affect— (a) the previous operation of that Act, in anything duly done or suffered thereunder; (b) any right, privilege, obligation or liability acquired, accrued or incurred under that Act; (c) any penalty, forfeiture or punishment in, and in respect of any offence committed against, that Act; (d) any investigation, legal proceeding or remedy in respect of any such right, privilege, obligation, liability, forfeiture or punishment as aforesaid; and any such investigation, legal proceeding or remedy may be instituted or enforced and any such penalty, forfeiture or punishment may be imposed as if such enactment or part thereof had not been repealed. ________
