(1) There shall be constituted a selection committee in regard to the appointment of Core Faculty, which shall consist of the following namely, (i) The Vice-Chancellor, three (03) experts from outside the University to be nominated by the Vice- Chancellor from out of panel prepared every year by the Constitution of Selection Committee. Satellite Campuses. The Faculties. [Act No.13 of 2024] 33 Academic Council and approved by the Executive Council of whom at least two (02) shall be present in the Selection Committee; (ii) Dean of the School concerned: Provided than no person shall participate in the meetings of the selection committee for any appointment if he/she or his/her relative is candidate for the appointment: Provided further that no faculty holding a post lower in rank than the one to which appointment is to be made, shall be a member of the Selection Committee. (2) The Registrar shall be the Member Secretary of the Selection Committee. (3) Provision shall be made in the Statutes in respect of such matters as may be considered necessary and not provided for in sub-sections (1) and (2) in order to ensure fair selections.
