(1) The Government may, in consultation with the Commission, appoint a woman as Director for making investigations for the purposes of this Act and to carry out such directives given to her by the Commission besides the functions conferred on her by this Act. The Government may appoint such other staff as may be necessary to assist the Commission by deputation or by direct recruitment and prescribe their conditions of service. (2) The qualifications, term of appointment and other conditions of service of the Director shall be such as may be prescribed. (3) In the discharge of their functions under this Act, the Director and other staff referred to in sub-section (1) shall be subject to the administrative control of the Chairperson.
