Sub-section (5) of section 43 substituted by Act No.9 of 2008. [Act No.1 of 1975] 55 stoppage of building operations contained in any other law for the time being in force. 58[43-A. (1) It shall be lawful for the authority or the local authority, as the case may be, at any time, before or after making an order for the removal or discontinuance of any unauthorised development or construction under section 42, to make an order directing the sealing of such development or property or taking the assistance of the police, for the purpose of carrying out the provisions of the Act. (2) Where any development or property has been sealed, the Authority or the local Authority, as the case may be, may, for the purpose of removing or discontinuing such development or property, order such seal to be removed. (3) No person shall remove such seal except,- (a) under an order made by the authority or the local authority, or (b) under an order of the Appellate Tribunal on the appeal made in this behalf.]
