On and from the date of commencement of this Act,- (i) The Andhra University established under the Andhra University Act, 1925; (ii) The Kakatiya University established under the Kakatiya University Act, 1976; (iii) Sri Krishna Devaraya University established under the Sri Krishna Devaraya University Act, 1981; Reconstitution of the Universities. Act II of 1926. Act 44 of 1976. Act 36 of 1981. [Act No.4 of 1991] 7 (iv) The Nagarjuna University established under the Nagarjuna University Act, 1976: 5[Provided that on the date of commencement of the Andhra Pradesh Universities (Amendment) Act, 2004, the Nagarjuna University shall be renamed as ―Acharya Nagarjuna University‖ for the purposes of this Act.] (v) The Osmania University established under the Osmania University Act, 1959; and (vi) Sri Venkateswara University established under Sri Venkateswara University Act, 1954; shall be deemed to have been established and incorporated under this Act and are hereby declared to be Universities by the aforesaid names, and the respective University areas and Headquarters thereof shall be as specified in columns (3) and (4) of the Schedule.
