[Act No.4 of 1991] 49 (3) Notwithstanding such repeal,- (a) the person holding office immediately before the commencement of this Act as Vice-Chancellor shall, on such commencement, be the Vice-Chancellor of the University concerned, and shall continue to hold the said office and to exercise all powers and to perform all duties conferred on the Vice-Chancellor by or under the provisions of this Act, until a Vice-Chancellor is appointed in accordance with the provisions of this Act; (b) the members of the Executive Council and Academic Senate constituted and functioning before the commencement of the 16[Telangana Universities Act, 1991] (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), shall continue to be such members and function only until the *[Executive Council] and a new Academic Senate as the case may be, is re-constituted in accordance with the provisions of the said Act; (c) upon the reconstitution of the *[Executive Council] and Academic Senate, in accordance with the provisions of the said Act, the members of the Executive Council and the Academic Senate other than the life members thereof holding offices of such members immediately before such reconstitution shall cease to hold the offices of such members; (d) all colleges and institutions affiliated to or recognised by the University immediately before the commencement of this Act shall be deemed to be affiliated or recognised as the case may be, under this Act;
