(1) There shall be a fund at the disposal of the council to meet the charges in connection with the performance of its functions under this Act. (2) The fund of the council shall consist of- (a) grants, if any, 1 [made by the Central Government or the State Government;] (b) contributions made by the factories, cane growers and cane growers' co-operative societies 1 [at such rates as may be prescribed;] (c) any other sums which the Government may require to be credited to it.
