(1) If, in the opinion of the Cane Commissioner, it is necessary for the purposes of section 15 that a survey of the area from which a cane grower supplies cane to a factory should be made, he may by order provide for a survey of such area to be made in such manner and by such officers as may be prescribed. (2) (a) The cost of survey under sub-section (1) shall be recovered in such proportion as may be prescribed from - (i) the occupier of the factory; (ii) the cane grower; 1 [xxx] (iii) the Government. (b) Any amount due from the occupier of a factory or a cane grower towards the cost of survey shall be recoverable as an arrear of land revenue.
