The following are the objects of the University, namely:- (1) to make provision for imparting education in different branches of study of Horticulture and other allied branches of learning and scholarship; (2) to further the advancement of learning and conduct research, particularly in horticulture and other allied sciences; (3) to undertake the extension of such sciences/ technologies specially for the rural people of the State;
