(1) The Officers of the University referred to in clauses (iii) to (xi) of section 24 shall be appointed by the Vice- Chancellor with the approval of the Board of Management on such terms and conditions and in the manner, as may be prescribed: Provided that the Vice-Chancellor may make appointments of such officers as a temporary measure for a period of six months under intimation to the concerned authority of the University. (2) The salary and allowances payable to and conditions of service of the officers in sub-section (1) shall be such as may be prescribed: Provided that the emoluments and the conditions of service of the officers shall not be varied to their disadvantage after their appointment. [Act No.30 of 2007] 37 (3) The Officers of the University as referred to in sub- section (1) shall be whole time officers and shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the organization and implementation of the programmes concerning to them. (4) No officer shall accept any remuneration from any source other than the remuneration to which he is entitled under the Statutes. (5) Subject to the provisions of this Act, the Officers of the University referred to in clauses (iii) to (xi) of section 24 shall perform such other duties as may be prescribed or as may be assigned to them, from time to time, by the Board or the Vice-Chancellor.
