(1) This Act may be called the 2Telangana Shops and Establishments Act, 1988. (2) It extends to the whole of the State of 2Telangana. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the Government may, by notification, appoint. (4) It shall apply– (i) in the first instance to all areas 3[in Telangana] in which the Andhra Pradesh Shops and Establishments Act, 1966 was in force immediately before the commencement of this Act; (ii) to such other areas in the State on such date as the Government may, by notification, specify.
